lp you bring out the maker in you. I have sewn all my life, learning at my mother’s knee at the age of six. After torturing my dolls with myriad experimental fashions, I moved on to dressing all the neighborhood kids. Halter tops, quilted purses, and re-constructed jeans garments were donned by all the friends who couldn’t escape me. I studied textiles, clothing construction and pattern making and taught beginning sewing as a teacher’s aid at Eastern Washington University and have continued learning and taking classes here in the Northwest throughout adulthood. I am a Certified Sewing Instructor (CSI) through the Palmer/Pletsch System of Sewing-- THE fashion sewing gurus for over 30 years. I love everything about sewing, from the whirr of the machine to the touch of the fabric, and I can’t wait to share the art with you!
