Hello,

This is our last week of service at McClaskey Culinary Institute. Today we finish the kitchen’s deep clean and work to process any ingredients left over from lab. We return from break on July 6. Please see this week’s hours.

RETAIL BAKERY HOURS
Monday- Thursday, 8am-2pm
Last day of service is Thursday June 18th -Closing early at 12pm for Commencement. You still have time to try our specials before we change it up for the next term!

KAFFELEMONAD- A fusion of our house made Japanese Iced Coffee and Lemon Syrup, shaken, poured over ice, and garnished with a lemon twist. Try a 12oz for $5.00.

FLOOP LATTE- Made with Fruit Loops for a nod to the rainbow in support of Pride Month, this lightly sweet and delicious drink will leave you asking for more! The Floops are made with whole milk though are also available dairy free in an oat milk version.

Iced Floop Latte with a Cold Top , 16 oz for $6.50
Iced Floop Matcha Latte with a Cold Top, 16 oz for $6.50

AMERI-COLA! This fun drink is made with 9Bar’s Flagship Espresso, house-made Vanilla Bean Syrup, and Coca-Cola finished with a Vanilla Bean Soft Top. Try it in a 16 oz for $6.00. If you want less of a sugar rush, we have Diet Cola, too!

RETAIL BAKERY HOURS
Monday- Thursday, 8am-2pm
Closed June 11 for clean-up and June 18 for commencement. Last day of service is June 17.

Our cakes case is stocked today with beautifully crafted individual desserts.
Pictured is are a Chocolate Mousse Bombe $5.00, Paris Brest $4.00, Cheesecake $4.00, Lemon Tart $4.00, and a Lemon Swiss Roll with Raspberry Mousse $4.00.

Hello!

We were closed yesterday for Memorial Day though are back to it this morning. Our students are working on completing their first-year competencies, preparing for finals, and filling the bakery and cuisine grab+go cases with all the good stuff! Please see this week’s menu and specials.

Jessica checks the sourdough gluten development in Chef Melanie’s bread class this morning while Alisa prepares bagels to boil, that are now in the store for $1.50.

CUISINE STUDENT CAPSTONE IN THE STUDENT RUN RESTAURANT
The Culinary Management Capstones will be hosted in the Student Run Restaurant this spring. Join us for a Prix Fixe or tasting menu for $24.95. The Capstone serves as the final, comprehensive project where students showcase menu concepts developed from the two years of academic and practical training at McClaskey Culinary Institute.

As we are pre-funking for summer and keeping up with the Instagram girlies, you may have seen a new drink debut on the menu! It’s the viral AMERI-COLA! Hello Clark College Community,

Thank you everyone for coming to support the Baking and Pastry Arts Capstone projects last Thursday. Our students were proud to display their hard work, and our community showed up in the best way! We appreciate you. After taking a break this weekend, all 7 students are on the go again as they begin their internships. If you are out on the town, you may spot them at Bleu Door, Honeycomb Bakery, Ondus, Good Dough, Al & Ernie’s, Ken’s Artisan, or a little farther away in Texas, at Pan Pan Bakery and Cafe. We can’t wait to cheer them on at graduation!

BAKING & PASTRY ARTS STUDENT CAPSTONE
Our Baking and Pastry Arts second-year students are presenting their Capstone Projects this Thursday, May 7th from 12-2pm. Join us to see the culmination of their hard work and dedication as they present products from their chosen discipline. You will have the chance to speak with each student and sample their creations. The Grill will be closed this day, but the Retail Bakery will be open with grab+go and freezer meals available for purchase.
