I keep telling myself how I need to do better at staying active on social media for the business. I do. Really. But then I sit down, open the computer or the iPad, start formulating an idea, and then….. this.

It’s great for focus.

It’s been a while, eh? Last word was that when the winter/spring classes wrapped up, new ones would be announced for summer and fall.

Then… Tony Bump offered me and Hannah Odean the opportunity to costume Twilight Theater Company’s production of Sweeney Todd.

So… I’ve been doing THIS 😍 since summer.

The show opens tonight!

Tomorrow? I’m cleaning the sewing room, and getting back to work on building those classes. The 6 week intro to sewing will run after the holidays, along with two types of alterations classes, and a few surprises.

Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd! Opening night is sold out, but there are some tickets left for other nights. Hurry up before they’re all sold.

I have a class availability update!

Our 6 week comprehensive Intro To Apparel Sewing Class scheduled to begin on 2/1/24 is now full. It will be offered again later this year, likely late summer. If you sign up for our mailing list (link on website) you’ll be the first to know when those dates are announced.

Our 1 Day Fleece Blanket Class on February 10 had initially been a private class. There is now one space available to the public.

Our 1 Day Fleece Blanket Class on February 24 does have 2 spaces available. If you’d like to sign up with a friend, that is your best option.

I was asked what I was making this week while iced in.

I’m finalizing lesson plans for the classes that are already scheduled. I’m also doing some sample making for some classes I have in mind for later this spring.

I had some ADORABLE local themed fabric from Center Diamond fabric store (you should go there next time you’re in Cannon Beach, Oregon! They have stuff that you can’t find anywhere else, and their service makes it such a great shopping experience!)

If you aren’t local and don’t recognize it.. the background fabric is the print of the absolutely iconic carpet at Portland International Airport so I included a few pics of that to show how awesome that print is 🩵🩵

First time out of the house in over a week, and my first stop was the fabric store 😂

Hot tip: If you learn to sew, you won’t be bored and stir crazy next time ice falls from the sky for 2 days and every surface is coated and you can’t leave your house.
