Today, our high school students got out of the classroom and into the driver’s seat at Dozer Day® Vancouver !! Students had the opportunity to meet and learn from industry professionals, explore careers in construction and the skilled trades, and even get some hands-on experience operating some seriously BIG equipment!

There’s nothing better than giving students the chance to experience potential careers firsthand. A huge thank you to all of the industry professionals who shared their time, knowledge, and equipment with our students today!

Students in the Fort Vancouver Medical Program participated in an engaging, hands-on field trip that provided valuable real-world learning experiences at Legacy Salmon Creek today. Students got to go through a scenario for a decontamination event about a tanker carrying a hazardous chemical involved in an accident on I-5. The drill focused on practicing decontamination procedures with their emergency department staff, and the students got to role play patients. As part of the exercise, students went through the decontamination process and were brushed down by staff wearing PPE. They got to see firsthand how a hospital responds during an emergency event and learn more about hospital emergency operations.

It’s that time of year!!!!!! Students from Columbia River, Fort Vancouver, and Hudson’s Bay put their talents on display at the Clark County Fair, entering their own landscape designs and plants!

A HUGE congratulations to Columbia River FFA, who earned GRAND CHAMPION for their incredible “Gen Z Balcony Garden”! Their design showed just how much creativity can fit into a small space, and how students can take what they’re learning in the classroom and turn it into something amazing.

We are so proud of ALL of our students who participated, created, grew, designed, and represented their schools at the fair.

Way to grow! (Wink wink)
