AIR QUALITY ALERT continues on this Friday morning with much of Portland and Salem seeing unhealthy to hazardous air quality. Thick smoke clouds are likely to cover all of western Oregon and southwest Washington today and possible through the day Saturday. A light west wind direction has taken hold and will push smoke from off shore all the way through the gorge and over the Cascades into central Oregon. Some areas could see their worst air quality of the week on this Friday. Rain chances are in the forecast Monday afternoon through Wednesday of next week.

VMS families, we are currently without power and have delayed our school day until 9am tomorrow, Tuesday September 8th. Families will be emailed in the morning with more information.
