SUMMER 2017 AHAS Students, Families and Friends! Thank you for your interest in AHAS 2017. We have a quite different arrangement this summer. We're partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs for the July AHAS program. The AHAS program will be offered mornings at Washington Elementary and Heights OK 2 Clubhouse B&G Clubs. AHAS will meet at these two locations July 5-28. AHAS will not meet on campus during summer 2017.

Why is the program titled AHAS? The AHAS umbrella of programs began in 2002 with the AHAS Summer Program and the project to offer tutoring in shelters.

WSUV program provides needed stability for local youths | Columbian.com A few years back, during a summer school demonstration of a working solar oven constructed from cardboard and aluminum foil, Susan Finley noticed one little girl taking remarkably detailed notes.

Our Founder and Director, Dr. Susan Finley with the women of CAMEO! This past summer AHAS was chosen to be the direct recipient of the CAMEO Foundation's charity auction. Youth Advisory Board meeting for the month of October will be held this Saturday, October 15th from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. For those needing transportation, pick up will be at 2:30p.m. and return at 6:30p.m. Please let me know if you or a friend are interested in coming! We will be working a lot with ePortfolio (bring all of those special school projects you've done with you, including art projects, papers, math assignments, report cards, etc.).
Our first YAB meeting was very successful! Students will begin making headway on important community service projects very soon. Stay tuned to hear the next date for our YAB meeting that will be occurring at the beginning of October. Let us know if you are interested in being involved as a volunteer or student!
