WSU Vancouver CILA

This past weekend we had the pleasure of hosting the inaugural La Bienvenida at ! This program is the first Spanish speaking family orientation at WSU Vancouver, highlighting financial aid, current student and parent experiences, and connections with faculty & staff across campus. We can’t wait to welcome these New Cougs to campus this fall! 🐾

Happy Juneteenth! Juneteenth remembers and celebrates the 1865 liberation of enslaved peoples in Galveston, Texas, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was officially issued. While we celebrate freedom on this day, it is also important to reflect on the history of the United States.

Promoting to Black creators, eating at Black-owned restaurants, reading books by Black authors, or shopping at Black-owned businesses are some of the ways CILA will be celebrating!

Aaanddd that’s a wrap!!! From the bottom of our hearts, CILA wants to thank each and every one of you who have supported CILA and attended/shared our events and those who worked with us to bring our events to life to make it more enjoyable for the students 🥳👏 We had a great time coming back to in person campus and bringing in events that represent y’all and ones that you would enjoy ✨ BIG shoutout to the CILA team this year for working through these unprecedented times to bring CILA back to life, y’all DID THAT 🙌 We hope y’all enjoyed what CILA brought this year and can’t wait to serve y’all even more dope events next school year 👀 Enjoy your summer and until next time! 🫶
