TONIGHT is our end of year school dance!
6:30-8:00pm FREE ADMISSION
We are hoping to see all of our students and families at the dance. Wear neon colors if you have them!😎
We do need to remind you that students can only attend with a parent or guardian. STUDENTS CAN NOT BE DROPPED OFF. Parents or guardians must stay with their student.
🎉 Dress-Up Week is Coming Next Week!🎉
Get ready for a week full of fun, creativity, and Truman Pride! We can't wait to see all the amazing outfits and ideas our Truman students come up with. Here's what's happening each day:
💇 Monday June 8 – Hair-Raising Monday (Crazy Hair Day) Start the week with a bang! Show off your wildest, wackiest, and craziest hairstyles. The bigger and sillier, the better!
🎒 Tuesday June 9 – Pack It Your Way Tuesday (Anything but a backpack day)
Leave the backpack at home and bring your school supplies in a creative, school-appropriate container. We can't wait to see what students come up with! If your student rides the bus, it must fit easily onto the bus or they won't let you bring it.
👕 Wednesday June 10– Wacky Wardrobe Wednesday
It's time to mix things up! Wear mismatched clothes, put your outfit on backward, or even turn it inside out for a day of fashion fun.
👴 Thursday June 11 (two hour early release) – Throwback Thursday: Senior Style (Dress like an old person day)
Dress like a grandparent or senior citizen and show off your best "wise and experienced" look. Gray hair, glasses, cardigans ect!
👯 Friday June 12 (two hour early release) – Twinning Is Winning Friday (Twin Day)
Team up with a friend, sibling, teacher, or group and dress alike. Matching outfits make celebrating friendship and school pride even more fun!
We hope everyone joins in for this last fun week of the school year. Participation is optional, but having fun is encouraged. Let's finish the year with lots of smiles, laughter, and Truman Pride! 🎊🐾

Don't forget --- Tonight is our Red Robin fundraiser night! Truman PTA will receive 20% of fundraiser sales (Van Mall location) through the end of the day. Just tell them you're with Truman Elementary when ordering. 😁

🎉 Volunteers Needed for Our End-of-School Dance! 🎉
We’re getting ready to celebrate an amazing school year with our End-of-School Dance on Friday, June 5, and we need your help to make it a fun and memorable event for our students!
We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup, decorations, refreshments, check-in, supervision, and cleanup. Every bit of help makes a difference!

The next PTA General Membership meeting will be at 3:00pm THIS TUESDAY, May 12th, in Emilly McNamara's first grade classroom.
We hope to have at least 10 paid members at this meeting so that we can hold a vote for next year's board, and vote on a proposed budget for next year. Both of which are essential for us to be able to transact PTA business after June 30 (the end of our PTA year). And, if you have any interest in holding an elected PTA board position, please let us know!
We will also discuss plans for the end of year dance party, distribution of yearbooks, an upcoming Popsicles at Recess day, the Summer Reading Program, and events scheduled for the first part of next year. All great information you will want to know!

Our last Chuck E. Cheese FUNdraiser night of the school year is coming up, this Friday 05/01/2026 and it's an event the students always look forward to!
We are having a school wide competition and the class/teacher with the most in attendance FRIDAY will win a PIZZA PARTY at school! How awesome is that?! 🍕🍕🍕🍕 So make sure when you get there to let them know who your teacher is.
So let's meet up with friends, eat some food, and let the kids play. It's going to be so much fun. We look forward to seeing you there!

There's still time to order keepsakes printed with YOUR STUDENT'S art! The deadline to order through Truman PTA's fundraiser is December 20th. Did your student miss the opportunity to submit art, or would like a chance to do it over? No worries, art can be uploaded to Square 1 Art until December 20, and will be available for viewing on the Square 1 Art website immediately. Just keep in mind, any orders received after December 5th may not be delivered in time for holiday gift giving.
