Meet our instructors for 2026-2027! Tiffany is a professional dancer, choreographer, director, producer, master teacher, and adjudicator with an extensive career spanning commercial dance, television, live entertainment, and sports. Early on, she built a diverse performance background with MTV, The Pussycat Dolls, Marky Mark, Nike, and Nordstrom. She then spent a major chapter of her career in Las Vegas, performing as a professional dancer and showgirl in high-energy production shows at iconic venues like MGM, Studio 54, and the Hard Rock Hotel, which heavily shaped her versatile stage presence.
Following her time in Las Vegas, Tiffany traveled the world as a lead principal dancer for Carnival Cruise Lines, sharing stages with artists like the Zac Brown Band and Gavin DeGraw while transitioning into a director and creator of her own live shows. She later brought this production experience to the country music world, touring the West Coast as a lead dancer and choreographer for the country rock band Flexor T. Her choreography credentials also expand into professional sports, including work for NBA, NFL, and Arena Football entertainment.
As a theatrical choreographer, Tiffany has lent her talents to over a dozen major musical productions, including Chicago, Bring It On, and the pre-Broadway musical Savage, earning industry recognition through Seattle’s prestigious 5th Avenue Theatre Awards. Dedicated to dancer longevity, she holds specialized certifications in sports medicine, Pilates, and performance wellness. Today, Tiffany travels nationally as a master teacher and professional adjudicator for leading competition brands like Groove, Breakout, and Beyond the Stars, mentoring students who frequently go on to collegiate programs, professional companies, and Broadway.
Tiffany is also the founder of Chasing Sunsets Dance Workshop & Convention, created from her belief that developing a dancer is about far more than teaching steps. Through performance, choreography, education and mentorship, she continues to encourage dancers to build confidence, find their individuality and discover the story behind their movement. “Don’t just dance the steps—chase the story.”

Meet our instructors for the 2026-2027 season!
Maria Albaugh has spent more than 25 years teaching, choreographing, directing, and inspiring dancers around the world. Her journey began with formal dance training in Vancouver, Washington, and continued through advanced study and artistic experiences in Las Vegas, New York, Guatemala, and beyond. Over the years, Maria’s teaching has taken her from the Portland area to Las Vegas, Alaska, and Guatemala, where she has shared her passion for dance with students and artists from diverse communities. Maria has served as director of Extreme Dance Company, a student-based company and training program, and as artistic director of Pivot Dance Company. These leadership roles have provided opportunities to perform and create work internationally, including in Spain, Scotland, Alaska, Guatemala, New York, and Las Vegas. She has also choreographed for Ballet Moderno in Guatemala City, further expanding her creative reach and commitment to the art form.
For Maria, passion and commitment to the arts are a way of life, strengthened by the love and support of her children, grandchildren, and wonderfully supportive husband. Dance has opened countless opportunities for creativity, connection, and growth, and Maria is dedicated to inspiring artists to recognize their gifts and use them with confidence and purpose. After seven years directing the Multnomah Athletic Club dance company, Maria has retired from that position and now brings her experience, artistry, and passion to her current work teaching for Dance Fusion Northwest and creating independent choreography in the Pacific Northwest area. Above all, Maria hopes her work encourages artists and students alike to live with purpose, courage, generosity, and a deep belief in their own potential. Her guiding inspiration is captured in this simple quote: “At the end of my days, I hope to have not a single bit of talent left. Then I can say, ‘I used everything you gave me.’”

Meet our instructors for the 2026-2027 season! Candalee Wrede comes to DFNW with a wealth of knowledge and extensive teaching background. Candalee trained with Marcelle Renoux in the Cecchetti Ballet method and Luigi style Jazz. At 14 she became the soloist for their company before heading to the University of Oregon to major in dance, simultaneously pursuing Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) studies with a former San Francisco Ballet instructor. After a genetic knee defect derailed her professional dance aspirations, Candalee reset her goals and made it her mission to become the best ballet instructor she could. Her passion and dedication has paid off.

She began her teaching career as Ballet Mistress for the National Academy of Gymnastics teaching classes and choreographing for aspiring Olympic gymnasts. She continued to work with numerous internationally recognized competitors and performers in the genres of ballet, freestyle skiing, ice skating, dance conditioning, body building and musical theater.

Throughout her career, Candalee has owned her own studio, developed training programs, choreographed original children’s ballets and added aerobics, step and dance conditioning to her certifications. She has continued to research and study dance history (establishing the Dance History program at Sam Barlow High School), various dance methodologies, multiple styles, and designed ballet training programs for both dancers and athletes. Ultimately she was awarded an Honorary Teaching Certificate by the State of Oregon.

Candalee has had the privilege of teaching for many of the best studios in the Oregon/Washington area. She acted as Assistant Director and instructor for Classical Ballet Academy for nearly a decade and is currently the Artistic Director at Grande Finale Dance Studio. She is also a frequent guest artist for numerous schools and studios in the Pacific Northwest. Utilizing her own successful training methodology, Candalee desires to continue instructing and mentoring young students as well as instructors with hopes of preserving the classical ballet technique as she was taught, so that it lives on in following generations.
