Well...that was fun. ❤️
A friend of mine is fostering a little cutie so I made him a pillow case... either for sleeping or for holding his treasures.
He loves frogs and turtles and was quite impressed that I had both fabrics in my stash.

My friend is in her Grandma Era.
(I am in my sewing era).
She made delicious raspberry freezer jam over the summer and graciously shared a jar with me.
When people give me reusable food containers, I always like to return them with the hopes I'll get more in the future.
I decided to make some reusable fabric bags that are the perfect size for the jam jars.

My sister and I exchange $10 gifts for our birthdays.
She and her hunny are golfers (as are a lot of their friends).
Her gift bag stash was running low.
So I made her a bunch of reusable lined gift bags.
Most of the fabric came from my Buy Nothing Group including the golf ball fabric. ❤️

Reusable gift bags.
I am addicted to making these. Absolutely addicted.
I like to use up my fabric scraps and make bags for gift giving. Sometimes the bag is the gift with a handwritten letter inside.
Every bag is a little bit different.
My Buy Nothing Group is a fantastic way to get fun fabric scraps. I am grateful.
I always tell the recipients that they can either keep the bag or regift it. Both will bring me joy. ❤️

My kiddo is in the US Navy.
At one point he lived with 4 guys, 1 dog and a few significant others when they were in flight school in Pensacola.
One of them got married and had a baby.
This airplane pattern was an obvious choice for the little family.
Pieced and made with love by me.

Our Sewing Machine Room is where I do my fabricking.*
(My hunny does creative endeavors down here as well.)
The space was remodeled in 2020 and it's still not finished....but we finally got these two rods hung this evening so that I can hang quilts and/or works in progress.
I am most excited.
*Both Sewing Machine Room and "fabricking" were coined by our son when he was in preschool. He's a grown up now.
Both patchwork quilts are available for purchase.

Baby quilt for our cousin"s second baby.
Big brother has the same pattern in a different color scheme.
This was delivered to the expectant mother in Long Beach/Seal Beach, CA this weekend.

I've been invited to a Senior Night for one of my favorites. (I have lots of favorites).
She requested we wear PINK. 🩷
So I whipped up a pink on pink on pink reusable gift bag and filled it with pink drinks, pink sweet treats, pink soap and some pink pens.
Best part....I made this from scrap stash.

My hunny has been sick with COVID.
So while he's been hunkered down in the basement, I moved my sewing supplies and scraps upstairs and made almost 50 reusable gift bags to replenish my stash.

I bought the dogwood fabric in Michigan in 2002. We traveled there to visit family for Thanksgiving.
I bought the raspberry patterned fabric in 2003 at a cute little fabric store on the Oregon Coast.
I didn't have a purpose for either cut, but I knew I wanted to make a quilt using up as much of the fabric as possible.
Fast forward to summer 2024 and I finally got something designed and created.

My kiddo got a Seattle Seahawks football jersey several years ago.
That player is no longer in the team....so he spent far too long updating the name and number of a different player ... except that he used colored markers, paper and scotch tape.
I decided to redo it again using fabric and thread to make it a little more durable and washable.
It's not perfect, but it's certainly an improvement.
