On World Habitat Day, we are recognizing the nonprofit leaders and community partners working to ensure that more people have a safe and stable place to call home.

Stable housing affects health, education, employment, and a family’s ability to plan for the future. We are proud to support organizations such as Community Roots Collaborative that are turning that understanding into tangible community solutions.

Happy birthday, Lee Edward Allen! 🏔️🎉

Eddie built Pacific Northwest Fundraising around his love of mountains and hiking and most especially for the love of helping nonprofit organizations.

He led our team up every climb with heart and a steady hand on the map. We asked the team to share a few words for his big day:

"Happy birthday! It's hard to believe we've been crossing paths in the nonprofit world for more than 15 years now, and I have loved 'dipping our toes' into working together these past two years. We really need to finally make good on our talk of setting up a paddling trip, and while on the water we definitely need to knock back a b**r or two to celebrate your day."

"Eddie, I'd heard about you long before I met you, which is usually how it goes with unicorns. Everyone said you were a rare find, the kind of leader people describe in hushed, reverent tones, like they'd spotted something magical at the edge of the forest. They undersold it. You don't just write about unicorns; you make the rest of us feel like we might be one too. Happy birthday!"

🛠️ On Labor Day, we're taking a break.

PNWF is closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day, not just for a long weekend, but to actually sit with what this day is about.

Every campaign we run, every dollar raised, every story we help tell only happens because people show up and do the work.

Today, we're grateful for ours, and for every nonprofit team, volunteer, and community partner grinding it out to make their mission real.
