💜A little imagination can take you anywhere!💜

Our bigs visited the library to read Harold and the Purple Crayon and get in touch with their creative sides! After reading about all the adventures Harold could create with just one purple crayon, our students put their own imaginations to work to see what they could create. 💭

We love seeing our Vandals learning, creating, and using their imaginations! ❤️

🌟 Good News Call of the Week! 🌟

We are so excited to celebrate Carson as our very first Good News Call of the Week! 📞🎉

Carson has been an exceptional Vandal as he transitions into 2nd grade! Every time we see Carson, he is helpful, listening, and following expectations. He consistently demonstrates what it means to Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be Responsible. ❤️

We are so proud of you, Carson! Keep up the amazing work and showing everyone what it means to be a Vandal!

🍦 ICE CREAM SALES ARE HERE!🍦

Starting tomorrow, 8/24, JER Bigs students can purchase ice cream during lunch each day for $1.50! Families can send cash or add money to their student’s account.

🍦JER Littles will begin ice cream Fridays on September 25th for $1.50. Cash or student account funds may be used.

We’re excited to add a little extra sweetness to the school day! ❤️

It may be hot outside, but our students and staff stayed cool today!

We beat the heat and celebrated our very first FULL week of school the best way we know how, with a special visit from the "ice cream truck"! Every student and staff member got to cool off with a yummy popsicle or ice cream treat today.

Huge thanks to everyone for an incredible first full week. Rest up, stay cool, and have a wonderful weekend!

We loved having the opportunity to connect with our JE Rhodes families, share what’s happening at our NEW school, talk classroom expectations, and answer questions as we get ready for an incredible year! ✨

Beginning Monday, August 24, J.E. Rhodes Elementary will implement a new morning drop-off procedure designed to improve student safety, efficiency, and traffic flow around our campus.

🚗 ALL PK–3 STUDENTS WILL NOW BE DROPPED OFF BEHIND THE CAMPUS.

New Drop-Off Route:
➡️ Enter the drop-off line from Texas Street or Highway 110 onto Pecan Street
➡️ Turn RIGHT onto Pennsylvania Street
➡️ Turn RIGHT onto Bois 'D Arc
➡️ Follow the line to the designated drop-off area behind the campus
➡️ All PK–3 students will be dropped off together
➡️ After drop-off, loop through the parking lot and exit the same way you entered via Bois 'D Arc

As we transition to this new procedure, we know there may be a few hiccups along the way. We greatly appreciate your patience, grace, and cooperation as our staff and families adjust to the new traffic flow.

Please stay alert while in the drop-off line and have your child ready to exit the vehicle when you reach the unloading area.

Our goal is to make morning arrival as safe and efficient as possible for every J.E. Rhodes student and family. Thank you for working with us as we make this important change!

REMINDER! PARENT NIGHT TONIGHT FROM 6:00 - 6:45 PM!

✏️Come hang out with us at Parent Night!
You will get to hear from your child’s teacher about our daily routines, systems, and all the exciting things happening this year! It’s a great way to see how our school runs, and how we can partner together to make it an awesome year for your child.

Have children in multiple classes or buildings? No worries! Drop your children off at their respective playgrounds for childcare, then choose one classroom to attend the full presentation. Since we are one school in two buildings, most of the information will be the same across classrooms! Afterward, you can stop by your other children’s classrooms to pick up an information packet, ask any quick questions, and learn about any classroom-specific details you may have missed.
