The students got to knock the dust off the welders today, with their first day back in the shop since summer ended! 🧹🧑🏼‍🏭

There’s nothing quite like getting back to the hands-on learning that makes Ag classes so much fun! Today was all about getting reacquainted with the equipment, brushing up on those welding skills, and getting ready for another year of building, creating, and learning in the shop.

It’s officially time to fire up the welders and get to work! 🔥

Whether you’ve been a part of Van FFA before or you’re looking to learn more about our program, we want you there! Come learn about the many opportunities Van FFA has to offer, meet our advisors, and find out how you can become involved in our livestock showing team, FFA teams, and so much more! 🐄🐑🐖🐓

🌟 Junior Members: Parents can sign up their students and pay the $10 membership dues at the meeting. Junior membership is available for students who are 8 years old and in 3rd grade through 7th grade.

🌟 8th–12th Grade Students: Students enrolled in an agriculture class have their FFA dues paid for! 🎉
Parents, this meeting is also a great opportunity to learn more about what Van FFA has to offer your student and how they can get involved throughout the year!

Vandal Blooms made some special deliveries this week! 🌸💐

Our Floral Design students created beautiful bud vase arrangements to welcome our newest teachers to the district! We loved getting to share a little Vandal Blooms sunshine and give our new Vandals a warm welcome to Van ISD!

Van FFA Officer Retreat 2026 🏕️🎣

Officers planned their Program of Activities (POA) for the upcoming year, engaged in leadership activities, cooked delicious meals and had some fun fishing & playing games!

We are so excited to serve our FFA members this year!

That’s a wrap on the 98th annual Texas FFA Convention in Fort Worth, Texas! We ended the week strong with Cooper’s BBQ & Texas Nights, Neon Lights Fun Night!! ⭐️

Van FFA accepted their GOLD Ranked National Chapter Award yesterday during the third general session of the 98th Texas FFA Convention. 🏆

Our National Chapter application qualified for Nationals & will later be ranked at the national level! Van FFA ranked among the top 25 chapters in the entire state of Texas!

We appreciate our dedicated members, educators, administrators, families & local businesses for encouraging our chapter & supporting our program to achieve such a prestigious award! ⭐️

The 98th Annual Texas FFA Convention has started off fantastic for our Van FFA members.

We started the week in the historic stockyards watching the iconic cattle drive make their way down exchange avenue & then successfully complete the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze!

Yesterday, we watched Christina Horton, our Honorary Lonestar, receive her plaque and accolades.

The Honorary Lone Star FFA Degree is the highest honorary recognition awarded by the Texas FFA Association. It honors individuals who have rendered outstanding, long-term service to agricultural education and the FFA! Thank you Christina Horton for all you do for Van FFA!

Later on, we watched four of our members receive their Lonestar Degree. The Lonestar degree is the highest degree bestowed upon an FFA member within the state! Those individuals were:

⭐️Hailee Landaverde
⭐️Bralynn White

We ended the night with an amazing Aaron Watson concert to celebrate all our achievements! Can’t wait for the rest of the week we have ahead!
