Tuesday, the German Exchange Students were able to spend the day in Kalida!

They had an amazing time touring Unverferth Manufacturing, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Town Hall. The students also were able to visit the police and volunteer fire department - they even scored a ride in the fire truck!

Lunch was served at the wonderful 1820 Brewwerks, fueling everyone for an action-packed afternoon!

After that, the students were able to watch and cheer on Kalida students at their pep assembly at the high school!

But that wasn’t all! They were also able to enjoy some fun at Moose Landing, where they drove golf carts, golfed and enjoyed even more food. They wrapped up the day with an exhilarating high school soccer/homecoming game! ⚽️

On Monday, the German exchange students spent the entire day at Vantage Career Center. Each student got to experience three labs. They received hands-on experience from our students and were able to learn more about Vantage and the career paths associated with each lab. They even got a CERTIFICATION! Thanks to Sports Exercise Therapy, they were able to learn and earn the Stop The Bleed Certification.

Sunday Vantage German Interact Club had the privilege of welcoming and hosting exchange students from Germany this week! The students and instructors are visiting from Kaufmännisches Berufskolleg Oberberg, Germany. Their visit started off with a tour of the historic Van Wert County Courthouse, given by County Commissioner Thad Lichtensteiger, followed by an opportunity to experience life on a local family farm -thanks, Luke Lichtensteiger.
A big thank you goes out to the Vantage students, staff, and families who opened their homes and hearts as host families. Check out all their adventures on Instagram! .de
