2020/2021 the year of Whales, Narwhals, Dolphins, Great White Sharks, Sea Otters, and Water Bears! We celebrated Neal and wished him happy retirement. This year the auditorium and the Library became classrooms, because we had to be feet apart. We lined up apart, ate apart, created apart, yet we got through it together! Despite the distance we spent a lot of time in nature, made art and music, and played hard!

2019/2020 This was our 6th graders’ Kindergarten year! Hello, Hydras! Learning went remote in the Spring. The Werewolves, Thunderbirds, Yeti, Sasquatch, and Pegasus all bonded together even though we finished the year apart. Let’s all come back to campus for CCS Homecoming May 30th from 10am - 12pm. There will be community songs, food, art, and more photos! We can reminisce about our months on Zoom.

Today during Community Time, students experienced the vibrant traditions of Lunar New Year through a special lion dance performance.
Lunar New Year marks the beginning of the lunar calendar and is celebrated across many Asian cultures. Each year is represented by an animal in the zodiac, and this year we welcome the Year of the Horse, a symbol of energy, perseverance, and strength.
Through music, movement, and storytelling, students learned how the lion dance is believed to bring good luck, chase away negative energy, and usher in a year of prosperity and joy.
A meaningful way to learn about culture, tradition, and community together.

Last night at Sharing CCS: The State of Our School, we were honored to welcome an Alumni Panel to speak with current families about how their CCS experience continues to shape them in middle school, high school, and beyond.
Parents asked thoughtful questions about confidence, learning, and life after CCS. One alum, now a CCS parent herself, shared how lessons from her time here still guide her as an adult and as a parent.
CCS cultivates lifelong learners, no matter how long ago you graduated.
