After Labor Day, I felt like a wee break from writing too much.

At every Fish & Bear, at the break, the script says, “Now we have a 10-minute break. But first someone might take a photo. Cos if there isn’t a photo, it never happened - and if there is a photo, it might have happened.”

And for the longest time, I took a photo on my phone. Not great shots, just a barely functional record that the event physically happened (or might have).

And now we don’t host all the F&B events, so I’m looking forward to seeing other hosts struggle with the minimal lighting and wide-angle shots.

So this week I’m going to share some of my photos of the events that might have happened.

(And if you don’t like how you look, then I am sorry. It’s not how you really look; it’s the combination of my poor photography and my cheap phone.)

Last night changed any plans I had of writing a thoughtful, considered post for today. (Of course I didn’t actually have such a plan, merely a glimmer of hope that a plan would somehow materialize)

We were at our newest location, The Kinn in Venice, and I have to write about it. Maybe I shouldn’t write about it, but I can’t seem to stop myself.

When I think back on the Fish & Bear events over the last week or so, what I remember most is something unexpected, and yet expected, and at the same time both monumental and minor.
