Back in the late 1900s, I bought a t-shirt. My favorite t-shirt. I can’t remember whether I bought it at a MotoGP race event or from a cheap stall in Bangkok. I didn’t know it would become my favorite when I bought it, so my memory is a bit fuzzy.

Anyway, that t-shirt had an embroidered emblem with two intensely staring eyes and the words ‘No Fear.’ It was a popular logo for idiots like me, who really enjoyed a little, manageable, kinda-safe-really, fear.

Truth be told, I was a bit scared to wear it at first. Like somehow, I’d be discovered as secretly risk-averse and ridiculed for my choices. But I had that shirt for over two decades and eventually wore it out.

Well, my fear is back.
