π World Su***de Prevention Day | September 10
Today, Crisis Readiness Co. and Achieve Now Educational Services Inc. stand together to recognize World Su***de Prevention Day.
Su***de prevention is not only about responding when someone reaches a crisis. It is also about creating environments where people feel safe enough to speak, where warning signs are noticed, and where support is available before someone feels like they have nowhere else to turn.
That responsibility belongs to all of us β in our homes, schools, workplaces, churches, and communities.
At Crisis Readiness Co., we believe preparation matters. Knowing how to recognize warning signs, ask direct questions, listen without judgment, and connect someone to appropriate support can make a life-changing difference.
At Achieve Now Educational Services Inc., we believe supporting the whole child means caring about more than academics. Children and teens need adults who notice changes, listen when something feels wrong, and create safe spaces for them to talk about their emotions and mental health.
π Notice. Pay attention to changes in behavior, mood, communication, or withdrawal.
π Listen. Give someone your full attention and allow them to speak without immediately judging, correcting, or minimizing what they are feeling.
π Ask. If you are concerned, it is okay to ask directly:
βAre you thinking about su***de?β
π Support. Respond with compassion. Take concerning statements seriously and remind the person that they do not have to handle what they are experiencing alone.
π Connect. Help them reach trusted family members, mental health professionals, crisis services, or other appropriate resources.
Our two organizations serve different purposes, but we share one important commitment:
Creating safer people, stronger families, supported students, and healthier communities.
Mental health matters at every stage of life β in the classroom, at home, at work, and beyond.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a su***de or mental health crisis in the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
π Real conversations can save lives.
π Check on your people. Check on our children.
π You are not alone.
