The Special Collection Services Department of the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources includes the University Archives, the Valparaiso University rare book collection, and special collections that support the University's dedication to excellence, grounded in the Lutheran tradition of scholarship, freedom, and faith. This prepares students to lead and serve in both church and society. Special Collections strives to provide an active learning environment in which students can learn to identify, evaluate, and use information resources, and in which researchers from other institutions and the community in general also have access to the collections.

With nonconference play in the books, the Valpo volleyball team kicks off Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend with a pair of home matches as part of Homecoming and Family Weekend. The Beacons welcome Belmont to the ARC Friday evening before hosting Illinois State Saturday night.

Are you ready? This Friday kicks off Homecoming and Family Weekend 2026. Valparaiso University Archives & Special Collections will be hosting an open house on Friday the 25th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and again on Saturday the 26th from 10:30 am to noon. Please join us to reminisce over yearbooks, browse our exhibits, and admire a rare book or two.

Our students will each be hosting an interactive activity table designed to promote and educate children and families about different areas of health, wellness, and participation through an OT lens. Come learn, play, and see occupational therapy in action!

When: Saturday, September 26
Time: 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Where: LeBein Hall, West Lawn

The activity fair is part of Valpo's homecoming and family weekend, children of all ages and abilities are welcome!
