🤍 Thinking of our community after the storms
As the worst of the storms have passed, our hearts are with every family who was affected—especially those who are dealing with injuries, loss, damage, or the uncertainty that comes after a severe storm.
And we’re thinking about our autistic children and adults, too.
For some, storms don’t just mean loud thunder and strong winds. The sudden changes, unfamiliar sounds, loss of power/WiFi, disrupted routines, darkness, and uncertainty can be incredibly overwhelming.
If your family struggled through the storms, you are not alone. 🤍
Sending love to every family who is recovering, rebuilding, comforting a child, or simply trying to get back to normal.
From our Sensory Social Club family to yours—we’re thinking of you. 🌿🤍

💚 So… what actually is autism?
Autism can look completely different from one person to the next.
For one person, it might mean needing headphones in a busy environment.
For another, it might mean communicating differently.
It might look like a child who loves routines, an adult who masks all day, someone who seeks movement and sensory input, or someone who becomes overwhelmed by things others don’t even notice.
There is no single “look” to autism. And there is no single autism story. 💚
That’s why we created this carousel—to share a few real-life examples of what autism can look like and to remind us that behind every behavior is a person with their own needs, strengths, feelings, and experiences.
Autism isn’t something you can always see.
Sometimes understanding starts with simply asking,
“What might this person be experiencing that I can’t see?”
Swipe through, learn something new, and share this with someone who might need the reminder. 🫶

When I first stepped into the autism world, I felt overwhelmed, alone, and unsure where I fit in. I spent so much time wishing there was a place where families could simply exist without judgment.
So instead of waiting for someone else to create it… I did.
Sensory Social Club was built from the hardest moments of our journey, but it’s fueled by hope, connection, and the belief that every family deserves a place where they belong.
Here’s to making kindness, inclusion, advocacy, and community the new trend.
✨ It’s chic to care.

This is more than a club.
It’s a place to connect, grow, and thrive together. 💙🩷
