It's that time of year! Donation areas have been set up in all campus residence halls. Help us reduce move out waste by dropping off your items!

Happening this Sunday!

New stations for hard to recycle items have been placed in the dorms! Keep an eye out for these stations to drop off your electronics, batteries, plastic bags, and textiles.

Composting has expanded to all of the sorority housing kitchens! Help us out by putting your food waste in the green bins provided. If this pilot program goes well we hope to expand to all of the dorms in the future!

We are excited to announce that our clothing and textile collection program is now open to the public! Through this program, you can drop off items that can't traditionally be donated- such as towels, bedding, socks, underwear, and stained/torn items. These will be made into new products such as cleaning cloths, furniture stuffing, and insulation. Items in good condition will be sorted out to be resold or donated (however we encourage you to donate to local thrift stores first to keep items in our community).

Not only does this program help the environment, it also generates funds that will be used towards our sustainability initatives here at VU!

Ready to drop items off? The collection bin is located just inside the North entrance of the Harre Union (1509 Chapel Drive). See the attached map.

Our new can liners are made from 20% less plastic than our previous product. Just another way we're reducing waste behind the scenes!
