Early Childhood Lead Teacher Wanted. Dedicated to providing quality early learning experiences, we are looking for a highly motivated teacher to inspire and be part of a great team, leading a Beginner’s Monday/Wednesday/Friday AM & PM classroom. This position is mid-August-May, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This is an excellent chance to join a friendly and dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate curriculum founded on Little Lamb Preschool’s Educational Philosophy, and the Foundations to the Indiana Standards
• Carry out our Christian Mission Statement
• Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-centered, play-based learning
• Develop strategies to guide children's behavior
• Build good, open communication with children, families and staff
• Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe
• Help develop an ever-changing, developmentally appropriate, living curriculum
• Undertake administrative tasks as required
You will need:
• A minimum of a higher education degree (any degree level) in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or early childhood special education is required. Degreed professionals entering this field from another industry must meet the equivalent minimum qualification, which currently is 60 college credits, with 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or early childhood special education.
• Experience working with children
• Fantastic organizational and teamwork skills
• Sound written and verbal communication skills
• A good level of computer literacy
• All the requirements upon hire of a Paths to QUALITY school employee

Good morning! Due to the Valparaiso Community Schools moving to e-learning tomorrow, Friday, January 23 and closing in person learning, Little Lamb Preschool will be closed as well. The closure is due to the forecasted sustained temperatures of below -20 wind chill.
