CoThrive Community is a proud supporter of NWI Food Council Food Expo and Discussion (FED 2018) on February 23rd. Registration is now open!

The theme this year is food justice. There are a lot of great speakers lined up. CoThrive Timebank's own Christine Maloney and Kathy Legner Sipple will be presenting talks on the Sustainable Community track. There will also be a track specifically to learn about the history of food access in Northwest Indiana, the current state and the future as well as an entrepreneurial track, geared more for growers and people engaged in food-related business.

We hope to see some familiar faces!

I am happy to be the facilitator for this event and grateful to Unity in the Dunes for allowing us to host the event in their beautiful and welcoming space. I am also delighted to have Katherine Osby's help with coordinating and running the event.

The Awakening the Dreamer Symposium is a half-day transformative journey that educates people on the challenges and possibilities of this moment in time and the role they can play in creating a new future.

If you've been wanting to change "the way things are", but are not sure what is yours to do to help change things, this is a great event that can help you unlock your path and network with like-minded others who want to help create the more beautiful future we know is possible for our earth and its people.

I (Kathy Legner Sipple) will be presenting at a Merrillville Rotary Club meeting on Wednesday. In preparation, I created this map showing where our regional members are located. It was fun to see where we are clustered and start to see even more patterns coming together for how we can make great things happen!
