Lyn Czapla teaches the Zentangle method of drawing which helps with relaxation and focus, expands imagination, increases self awareness, and furthers more creativity in the mind through expression with art.

Free bus transport for students can be arranged through Porter County Aging & Community Services.

This program is presented in partnership with PCACS, and is supported in part by a grant from the Porter County Community Foundation.

is seeking proposals from local artists to develop original artwork for two benches to be installed at Kirchhoff Park as part of the Valpo Parks rePLAY Initiative. ♻️

The benches are manufactured from recycled wind turbine blades and will serve as both functional seating and public art. The City intends to select one artist or artist team to design both benches to ensure a cohesive visual experience throughout the park.

📍Bench One: Valparaiso History / America 250 One bench should explore the theme of Valparaiso's history in recognition of the upcoming America 250 commemoration.
📍Bench Two: Artists may choose to explore themes such as community, recreation, environment, geography, sustainability, civic engagement, youth leadership, or Valparaiso's future.

Art Barn School of Art encourages local artists to participate in this public art opportunity in Valpo. Showcase your artistic talents and passion for your community & town history.
