Reminder: All library books are due back by Tuesday, with the latest return date being Wednesday, 5/27.

Please take the long weekend to look for any missing library books at home, in backpacks, vehicles, or anywhere they may have been misplaced.

Any books not turned in by the end of the last day of school will be marked as lost and fees will be posted to student accounts.

Today we celebrated Mrs. Jones with a special staff breakfast as she prepares to enter retirement after the last day of school. 💚

We presented Mrs. Jones with gifts, one of which was from TJE students: a jar of “Core Memories: Powered by Passion & Mrs. Jones’ Love for STEM,” filled with TJE students’ favorite STEM lessons and special memories shared throughout the years. 🧪✨

Thank you, Mrs. Jones, for your years of dedication, care, and the countless lives you’ve impacted along the way. Wishing you all the happiness, relaxation, and new adventures retirement brings — you will be greatly missed! 🍎✨

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming back our senior class students who once walked these halls as elementary students. It was so special to see how much they’ve grown and to celebrate all they’ve accomplished. We are proud of each and every one of them and wish them the very best as they prepare for graduation and the exciting journey ahead! 🎓💚

Wrapping up Teacher Appreciation Week with a salty snack! Today’s gifts included bags of treats, adorable succulent fidgets 3-D printed by Mrs. Arizpe, and beautiful succulent plants for our staff to enjoy. 🌵

A special thank you to Mrs. Hummel for generously donating the hens-and-chicks plants from her own yard and for helping the PTO get everything planted. Your kindness and support helped make this week extra special for our amazing teachers and staff! 🌿

4th grade egg drop day was a success! Students put their creativity and engineering skills to the test, designing containers to see if they could keep their eggs intact when dropped from new heights.

In years past, the drops happened from the roof, but with the new solar panels installed, we had to improvise!
A huge thank you to the Valparaiso Fire Department for bringing out the truck and helping make the experience even more exciting. Tim Stites and SRO Officer Augustine had a great time dropping the students’ creative concoctions to see which eggs would crack, splat, or survive the fall completely whole.
