We are so excited to kick off the new school year and welcome our students and families back!

Join the PTO for Chalk the Walk ! Grab a piece of chalk and help us decorate the school sidewalks with encouraging messages and bright designs to give our staff the best welcome possible on their first day back!

Come back the next night for our Back-to-School Night! This is an opportunity for your child to see their classroom, meet their teacher, drop off supplies,. They can also look forward to playing with friends on the TJE playground and enjoying a complimentary sweet treat, courtesy of our PTO. Registered students will receive a special ticket at the entrance to redeem for their treat. Parents are welcome to purchase additional treats for themselves or any siblings who join.

Please note that parking will be limited. The middle school is hosting its own back-to-school night starting at 4:30 PM. To avoid congestion, we highly encourage families to park at the Valplayso lot and use the connecting path to enter through Door A.

Annual online registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now open!!!!

The online registration portal will be open from 7/13/2026 through 7/19/2026. To register online, you will need to access Skyward's Family Access through the Skyward Portal from any VCS website (see image below) or visit valpo.k12.in.us

Please be sure to complete all 18 steps and click submit! If you have more than 1 child, please complete this process for each child attending VCS.

Reminder: All library books are due back by Tuesday, with the latest return date being Wednesday, 5/27.

Please take the long weekend to look for any missing library books at home, in backpacks, vehicles, or anywhere they may have been misplaced.

Any books not turned in by the end of the last day of school will be marked as lost and fees will be posted to student accounts.

Reminder: the last day of school is Thursday and it is a half day, with elementary dismissal at 12:00 PM.
