Daytime Discoveries Learning Center We are a state-licensed facility. Daytime Discoveries is much more than a "daycare."

We teach a year-round curriculum in every classroom, starting with fine and gross motor skill building in the infant and toddler room. Last week they had fun painting their own fall leaves! Using paintbrushes helps strengthen fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while giving them a chance to be creative and explore seasonal colors. We love bringing a little fall fun into our classroom! 🎨🍃

Sensory Fun Friday for our Minnows and Tadpoles! 🎨🖐️❤️
Our little ones had so much fun squishing and moving the paint around inside the bags! This mess-free sensory activity is a great way to explore colors and textures while strengthening those little hands and fingers. So much learning happens through play! 🥰

🍂 PreK have been busy with all kinds of fall fun! 🍁🎃
Our friends have been learning and creating with lots of hands-on fall activities! They practiced fine motor skills by tearing and gluing fall-colored paper onto leaves, used watercolors to paint pumpkins, and created colorful fall trees using paint and foil stamping. We also worked on counting, sorting, and graphing with a fun fall-themed group activity! 🧡💛❤️
So much learning is happening while we enjoy all the colors and fun of fall! 🍂🎨📊

Our babies had fun exploring colored tape on the mirror! 🧡❤️💛 They worked on pulling and peeling the tape off, which is a great way to strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, grasping, and problem-solving. The bright colors and their reflections made it even more exciting and encouraged lots of curiosity and sensory exploration! 🥰

This week our Little Fish #2 PreK class is learning all about the Five Senses! 👀👂👃👅✋
Today we focused on our sense of sight! The kiddos mixed different colors of Play-Doh together and used their eyes to observe what new colors were created. 🌈
This was such a fun, hands-on way to practice color recognition, making predictions, and noticing changes—all while strengthening those little hands and fine motor skills! 💙🐟
