Valley School District Our goal is to provide a positive educational experience for all students to develop skills, competencies and attitudes.

The goal of the Valley School District, from our brick and mortar offerings to Columbia Virtual Academy, is to provide a positive educational experience for all students to develop skills, competencies and attitudes which are fundamental to being a contributing and responsible citizen. The Valley School District places great value on family choice education, the belief that parents or guardians are the best educators of their children, and cooperation with: students, families, the community, other districts and the State.

October is National Principals Month, and we’re celebrating Karen Hay, principal of Valley EDGE High School Academy and the new principal of CVA Middle School! 🎉

Karen brings a quick wit, a little sarcasm, and a whole lot of heart to her work. She can make you laugh while making it clear she means business! Her high expectations come from wanting the best for her students and staff, and she’s always ready to help them rise to the challenge.

Thank you, Karen, for your humor, your dedication, and the care you bring to both school communities. We’re grateful to have you! 💙
