Advanced Chemistry students reviewed Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning. They were told that they were being dropped on a deserted island and could only have three pieces of lab equipment to help them survive. They had to choose their three pieces of lab equipment and make a claim have researched evidence of what it did and then state reasoning on how it would help in their survival.

Valley JROTC received a visit from former VHS JROTC Cadet and c/o 2026 grad and recent U.S, Army Infantry Basic Combat Traing graduate Private Xander Newton. Private Newton shared his basic training experiences and talked about ways that JROTC helped prepare him for basic training. Private Newton then answered questions from current VHS JROTC Cadets.
