Valley Symphony Orchestra

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since we've posted anything on our page. Slowly but surely things are looking good as far as coming back to school. The orchestra will be able to meet in person and play some music.

If you've previously played a string/woodwind/brass/percussion instrument, would like to continue working on your skills, or you know of someone who plays an instrument. Have them consider joining the Valley Symphony Orchestra. You can also forward them the flyers with our information, and share our post on social media.

We will be holding auditions on Wednesday September 01 @ 7:30 pm in room 112.

Hello Everyone,

I am sorry to inform you all that our 3rd Annual Steinway Concert has been officially cancelled due to COVID-19/coronavirus. We are planning on performing these pieces on our May 2nd concert. Please continue to follow our page for updates and upcoming concerts.

You won't want to miss the Drs Duo of Yih-Mei Hu and Frank Garvey as they tickle the ivories through the works of Debussy and Piazzolla.

As we are less than a month away from starting the semester we are seeking for Orchestra students and Orchestra Community folks to enroll ASAP at www.lavc.edu. As of today, enrollment numbers are low and in danger of cancellation. Please enroll in Orchestra to help avoid this from happening.

Here are the course numbers:

Music 721(section: 11037) is the regular orchestra class. If you have surpassed the maximum numbers of enrollment for this class (4), you may enroll in this one:

OLD ADL 721 (section: 23099) it's offered for students or community members who have exceeded the allowed number of enrollment for MUSIC 721.

Please help us ensure that this class continues by enrolling!

If you know of anyone that would like to be a part of this orchestra please do not hesitate in giving them this information. Or tell them to directly message us on our page for further questions or instructions.
