This Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before schooo we will be collecting food for our annual Colfax Food Drive. Please drop off food at the Kindergarten, Addison and Huston gates. Please see the attached flyer for grade level food asks.

❤️Thank you for making today’s This is Us event such a special celebration of families and community! 🎉 With performances, hands-on fun, delicious food, and thoughtful family and classroom boards, it was truly a day to remember! ❤️🌳✨ This is just a small sample of the incredible participation from 31 classes, over 34 families, plus six interactive stations, and a fun scavenger hunt. More photos and videos will be shared in the Colfax Connection and the IDEA photo album. 🌳✨

Monday was a very special day for our Colfax community. We welcomed the Carolina Russek traditional Mexican dancers to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with our students and families.

375 elementary schools competed this year for the Beyond the Bell LAUSD SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP and the mighty “Trees” of Colfax got the job done today. Thanks to Coach Kaitlyn for all her time and dedication. Thanks to the parents. And big shout out to Beyond the Bell - (BTBLA) for throwing a great tournament.

After 20 amazing years at Colfax, both as a dedicated teacher and a proud parent, Ms. Steele is retiring! From seeing her daughter thrive here to inspiring countless students, her journey has been truly special. We hope you enjoy your memory book from Moments Worth Remembering of all the years spent here.
