We have openings. Message me for more info.

Here is a bit of encouragement for you today from Heidi Franz ~

1. What you are doing is important. ❤️
By age 5, about 90% of a child’s brain development has occurred. Every song, poem, Bible story, book, and play-based activity you do matters. Your time and effort are not in vain.

2. Children learn through intentional play. 🧩
Introduce the child to the color, shape, math objective, or other learning concept. Do an activity together. Then let them play, play, play! Intentional play gives children opportunities to practice and apply what they are learning.

3. Slow down. 🐢
We talk too fast. Way too fast. Slow down when you read to a child, sing a song, or explain a learning objective. Children need think time. Give them time to process what you have said and respond.

4. Don’t over-talk.
Ecclesiastes 6:11 (NLT) says, “The more words you speak, the less they mean. So what good are they?” Sometimes fewer words are more effective. Less talking requires the child to listen, process, and respond.

Encouragement to deepen your spiritual life, simplify daily tasks, and impress upon your children to live for Christ in this "out-of-sync" world. | Heidi Franz

Valley View families (and surrounding areas too), we have openings! 🧡

If you’ve been thinking about enrolling your child, now is a great time. Robin’s Nest Christ-Centered Childcare is currently enrolling children ages 18 months to 5yrs , including before- and after-school care for Valley View students.

Robin’s Nest has been open and proudly serving our community since 2016. Some of our little ones who first came through our doors as infants are now in fourth and fifth grade! We’ve had the special privilege of loving and caring for entire families—welcoming one sibling after another and watching them learn and grow through the years. That kind of lasting connection with our children and families is what makes Robin’s Nest so special to us.

Our fall curriculum is just getting started, and our classrooms are busy each day with hands-on learning, creative activities, play, and plenty of fun!

To help local families get started, we are waiving ALL registration fees through the end of August—but space is limited, and we would love to fill these openings quickly.

Come meet our teachers, see the classrooms, and find out if Robin’s Nest is the right fit for your family!

Please share this post with any local families who may be looking for childcare. Word of mouth means so much to our small center!

Dear Abba Father,

Thank You, God, for Your love. Your forgiveness. Your peace. The wisdom that You give abundantly.

We don’t know what this school year holds but You are sovereign. You love each of our children/students more than we can imagine. More than we do! This year I ask that You expand their joy, love, and self-control. Grow their knowledge of You. Sand off the rough edges that keep them from fully accepting Your grace and direction.

Lord, help our children to see with Your eyes the kiddos who need friendship or a kind word. Give them the strength to stand up for truth. Create in them a deep love of learning which will carry over to diving deeper into Your Word.

For their teachers, flood the staff with strength and wisdom. Give them eyes to see through the words and actions of each student. Help them know what each child needs and to provide the exact encouragement.

For the mommas and teacher of littles, give them the patience to answer all the why questions. Pour strength into their tired bodies as they discipline for the 85th time. Holy Spirit provide teachable moments and give words to explain in a way the kiddos can understand.

For parents and grandparents, give us the priority and strength to be intentional. Whether that be during the day with our littles or in the evenings with our big kids. Help us remember what is important and to grasp teachable moments that come in our path. Teach us to bite our tongues when we need to remain silent. God, may we “impress” Your truths on our children and not waste the precious, fleeting time that we have with them.

I ask for safety and protection for all of us as travel to and from school, play, and work.

We give You this school year for your glory and honor, and to further Your Kingdom.

In Your holy, powerful, and loving name…. Amen.

~Heidi Franz
