Why was VISTA Learning Academy created?

Texas Senate Bill 569, passed in 2025, allows school districts to expand how instruction is delivered beyond the traditional school day and campus setting.

In response, Valley View ISD created VISTA Learning Academy to provide a structured online option that aligns with these new guidelines while maintaining the district’s academic standards.

VISTA provides students with an additional pathway to stay on track for graduation, within a model designed to meet today’s requirements.
