May was a month filled with learning, laughter, celebration, and special memories! Our scholars continued to grow as they explored, created, and enjoyed meaningful experiences with their friends and teachers.

💐 Mother’s Day Craft
The children lovingly created special Mother's Day crafts to celebrate the amazing mothers, grandmothers, and special women in their lives. They were excited to make something from the heart and could not wait to surprise their loved ones with their handmade gifts.

🌱 Visit to Forest Road School’s Mother’s Day Plant Sale
One of the highlights of the month was our visit to **Forest Road School Mother's Day Plant Sale**. The children enjoyed exploring the plants and flowers while learning about nature and appreciating the beauty of God's creation. It was a wonderful community experience and a special outing for our scholars.

🎂 Birthday Celebration
We enjoyed celebrating one of our Elite Scholars' birthdays! It was a wonderful opportunity to make our scholar feel special while creating happy memories with classmates and teachers.

☀️ Outdoor Play
The beautiful spring weather gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy outdoor play. The children loved running, exploring, climbing, and spending time together in the fresh air while strengthening their gross motor skills and friendships.

🎶 Music and Movement
Music and movement remained a favorite part of our day! Through singing, dancing, action songs, and movement activities, the children practiced coordination, listening skills, self-expression, and had lots of fun along the way.

🧩 Learning Center Fun
Our scholars continued exploring the learning centers, where they engaged in dramatic play, building activities, literacy experiences, sensory exploration, and creative discovery. These hands-on experiences encouraged imagination, cooperation, problem-solving, and independent learning.

✏️ Practicing Tracing Numbers
The children worked hard on tracing numbers, strengthening fine motor skills, letter recognition, and early writing abilities. We are so proud of the progress they continue to make each day.

📚 Reading Time
Storytime continued to be a special part of our daily routine. Through shared reading experiences, the children expanded their vocabulary, strengthened listening skills, and developed a growing love for reading.

✨ A Month Full of Growth and Fun

🌸 March at a Glance – Elite Scholars Christian Academy 🌸

March was a month full of creativity, discovery, and joyful learning! Our scholars stayed busy exploring, creating, and growing in so many ways. Here are some of our highlights:

🎨 Free Art Painting
Our young artists enjoyed free art painting, where they were able to explore colors, mix paints, and create their own special masterpieces. This was a wonderful way for the children to express themselves creatively and build confidence in their ideas.

🎭 Puppet Shows
The children had so much fun with puppet shows, using puppets to tell stories, sing songs, and act out different characters. This helped build imagination, language skills, and confidence.

👩‍🏫 Women’s History Month
In honor of Women’s History Month, the children learned about important women who made a difference in the world. We talked about how women help, lead, teach, and care for others in many different ways.

🌳 Outdoor Play
With the weather getting nicer, the children enjoyed more outdoor play, running, exploring, and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.

🎶 Music and Movement
Through music and movement, the children sang songs, danced, and moved their bodies, which helps with coordination, listening skills, and joyful expression.

☁️ Learning About the Weather
We learned about different types of weather, talking about sunny days, rainy days, windy days, and cloudy days. The children enjoyed observing and talking about the weather they see each day.

✏️ Practicing Tracing Our Names
The children practiced tracing their names, helping them recognize their letters and build early writing skills and confidence.

📚 Reading Time
We enjoyed reading time every day, where the children listened to stories, looked at pictures, and talked about what was happening in the books. This helps build language and a love for reading.

🌼 Giant Spring Flowers Painting
To welcome spring, the children created giant spring flower paintings. They had so much fun painting big, colorful flowers and celebrating the new season.

February was full of meaningful learning, creativity, and joyful moments! Our scholars stayed busy exploring new themes, building friendships, and growing in so many ways. Here’s what made this month so special:

✊🏾 Black History Month Crafts: Rosa Parks on the Bus
We honored Black History Month with a powerful, child-friendly craft focused on Rosa Parks. The children created “Rosa Parks on the bus” projects while learning about fairness, courage, and standing firm for what is right. It was beautiful to hear them talk about being kind, respectful, and brave; right at their level.

🌤️ Groundhog Day Fun
Groundhog Day brought lots of giggles and curiosity as we learned about shadows and seasons. The children enjoyed themed activities, conversations, and predictions about whether winter would stay or spring would come early!

💘 Valentine’s Day Tissue Paper Craft
Love and friendship filled our classroom as the children made Valentine’s Day tissue paper crafts. This activity strengthened fine-motor skills while encouraging kindness: sharing, helping, and celebrating friends in a sweet and simple way.

🎨 Painting Time
Our scholars had dedicated painting time to explore colors, textures, and creativity. Painting gave them space to express themselves freely; each masterpiece as unique as the child who created it!

🩺👮🏾 Dramatic Play: Community Helpers
The dramatic play center was full of imagination as children dressed up and role-played as doctors, police officers, and other community helpers. Through play, they practiced cooperation, communication, problem-solving, and empathy while having a great time!

🎲 Games & Learning Through Play
From group games to playful learning activities, the children practiced taking turns, following directions, and working together building both social skills and confidence.

🙏🏾🎶 Devotion Time: Music & Movement
One of our favorite parts of the day was devotion time with worship, praise, music, and movement. The children sang, moved, and celebrated the joy of the Lord together starting our day with gratitude and unity.

☀️ Summer Enrichment Program at a Glance – Elite Scholars Christian Academy ☀️

This summer was packed with fun, creativity, and hands-on learning! Our scholars enjoyed a wide variety of exciting activities that made the season both memorable and enriching:

🎨 Outdoor Painting – The children expressed their creativity under the sunshine, turning the outdoors into their art studio.

💦 Water Play – Summer heat was no match for our refreshing and playful water activities that kept everyone cool and smiling.

✂️ Weekly Craft Activities – Each week brought new craft projects, giving our scholars opportunities to explore, create, and bring their imaginations to life.

🎮 Trip to Dave & Buster’s – A highlight of the summer was our fun-filled trip, where the children enjoyed games, food, and unforgettable memories together.

🔬 Science Experiments – Curiosity sparked as our scholars became little scientists, exploring, testing, and discovering through exciting hands-on experiments.

🤝 Wonderful Youth Interns – We were blessed to have amazing youth interns with us this summer. Their energy, kindness, and support brought so much joy to our program, and they were truly a pleasure to have!

We are excited to announce our Passionately Pursuing Purpose Community Street Fair happening Saturday, August 9th from 12 PM – 5 PM! 🎉

This event is hosted by Elite Scholarship Foundation, Inc., a newly founded nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students who are seeking scholarships for their future success. 🌟

Through Elite Scholars Christian Academy, in partnership with Valley Stream District 30, we’ve been able to provide high-quality early childhood education and help build a strong academic foundation for young learners as they prepare to transition into schools like Forest Road School. For over 16 years, our commitment to this community has only grown. That commitment gave rise to the Elite Scholarship Foundation, Inc, a nonprofit organization that supports students through scholarships, mentorship, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
