As a School Board Trustee, I look forward to using my years of public service for the benefit of ALL. A healthy school district is not only to the betterment of children, families & staff but also to homeowners and greater society, because better schools drive stronger property values and spur economic progress. Strong Schools = Strong Communities.

Basic academics includes reading, math, science and the arts. But an A+ curriculum further requires a robust writing program, technology & engineering (STEAM), physical education, history and much more. Our kids deserve to go beyond just “basic”! There can be no shortcuts to their foundation. What would YOU like to see added to the school curriculum?

1 out of 5 kids reports having been bullied at school. National su***de rates among 10–12-year-olds have increased 500%. Half of school shootings are committed by current/former students.

I Valley Stream! Whether a multicultural/bi-racial family like mine, a transplant family of the last 10-15 years that values diversity or a legacy VS family here for generations, our rainbow is one of our greatest assets!! A district that not only “accepts” diversity but meaningfully CELEBRATES it, is one that instills value in the hearts of children and prepares them for smoother transition into college / the work force.

Remember to vote for Qubilah for Valley Stream D13 Board of Education THIS Tuesday, May 16th at your local elementary school. Polls are open until 9 p.m.
