Association of Libertarian Feminists

Association of Libertarian Feminists ALF provides an alternative feminist point of view that is distrustful of government interventions t

Like other feminists, we believe that women and men should be equal--equal before the law, have equal opportunities, and be treated as individuals, not stereotyped into groups . Where we differ is that we do not think using the coercive power of government is the way to do it. We'd like to make explicit that our page is not a place to smear any groups of people - be it g**s, transgender people, rac

ial minorities, women or men in general, or women who choose to have abortions. Please keep this in mind and refrain from making comments that imply entire groups of people are immoral, lazy, selfish, or any other pejorative. Also not the place to post pseudo science, conspiracy theory, or other nonsense. We don't feel obligated to provide a forum for every idea regardless of its merits and reserve the right to delete.

Many people know John Stuart Mill’s "On Liberty," but far fewer know Mill’s wife and intellectual collaborator, Harriet Taylor Mill. Harriet was a pioneering thinker whose influence on Mill’s work was profound. Throughout his life, John Stuart Mill advocated for the recognition of Harriet’s intellectual ability. Mill described "On Liberty" as collaborative, stating it “was more directly and literally our joint production than anything else which bears my name, for there was not a sentence of it that was not several times gone through by us together, turned over in many ways, and carefully weeded of any faults."

5 years of rejections. 1 big idea. 1 global empire. 🌐

Melanie Perkins co-founded Canva at 26 — after being told no, over and over again. She didn't shrink. She pivoted, persisted, and built something the whole world uses.

Free markets don't promise you success; they promise you the chance to earn it. Melanie took that chance and changed how the world designs. 🎨

That's the power of economic freedom in the hands of someone with vision.

The US has already spent an estimated $19 billion on the war with Iran. Here are five reasons lawmakers should hesitate in financing yet another overseas conflict, from Cato Institute experts Benjamin Giltner and Dominik Lett:

1. The administration is pursuing an undefined war with no clear exit.
2. “Mowing the lawn” is not a strategy.
3. Costs are already steep, and inventory is hard to replace.
4. An emergency war supplemental is irresponsible fiscal policy.
5. Economic power underwrites military power.
