Leadership starts with a little kindness!
Our Leadership Program kicked off our first Chick-fil-A Leader Academy event of the year with one of the sweetest ways possible… popsicles with our kindergarteners!
Our high school leaders spent recess serving up popsicles, smiles, and plenty of fun while getting to know some of the youngest members of our school community. There’s something pretty special about watching our students use their leadership to make someone else’s day a little brighter.
Because leadership isn’t always about having the biggest job or the loudest voice. Sometimes, it looks like handing a kindergartner a popsicle, sharing a smile, and reminding them that they belong.
What a sweet way to start the year!

Huge shoutout to Cooper Bellchamber who is interning at KOV Summer Camp, and Lillian Mosley who is stepping up as a Teen Leader at KOV this summer. Your dedication, energy, and heart for service are truly inspiring!

Leadership Families and Community Partners,
I am excited to share the Summer Edition of our Leadership Program Newsletter with you! This issue celebrates the incredible accomplishments of our students and highlights the many ways they have served others, strengthened our school community, and demonstrated what it means to lead with purpose.

As you read through the newsletter, I hope you enjoy seeing the positive impact our students have made throughout the year. From serving our elementary students and supporting community organizations to creating meaningful experiences for others, their dedication and compassion continue to inspire me.

None of this would be possible without your continued support. Thank you for encouraging our students, partnering with our program, volunteering your time, and believing in the importance of student leadership. Your support allows our students to develop confidence, build meaningful relationships, and discover that even small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.

It is truly a privilege to work alongside such outstanding students, families, and community partners. Thank you for being an important part of the Valley Park Leadership Program. We love seeing our Leadership Program alumni continue to make an impact. As one of our interns, Gavin consistently led with heart, integrity, and a servant-leader mindset. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! Your positive influence on others continues to make our community better.

One of our favorite things is watching our Leadership Program students continue to make an impact long after the school year ends. Congratulations to Charley on her summer success. We are incredibly proud to celebrate Gavin Mann for being recognized as one of the Top 14 Most Positive Athletes in the South Central Missouri Region!

Throughout his time in our Leadership Program, Gavin has consistently demonstrated what it means to lead with character, positivity, and purpose. Whether serving his school, supporting his teammates, or encouraging those around him, Gavin has made a lasting impact through his actions and attitude.

This recognition is a reflection of the example he sets every day—showing that true leadership is about lifting others up, leading by example, and making a positive difference in your community.
