Last week was all about the three little pigs, as we had puppets, cupcakes and even had the big bad wolf try to come and blow down our students houses they made with our pig friends inside. Luckily no little pigs were harmed and our houses did amazing. We had a great time exploring this classic fairy tale all week.

La semana pasada fue todo sobre los tres cerditos, ya que teníamos marionetas, cupcakes e incluso el gran lobo malo trató de venir y volar las casas de nuestros estudiantes que hicieron con nuestros amigos cerdos dentro. Afortunadamente, ningún cerdito resultó herido y nuestras casas fueron increíbles. Nos lo pasamos muy bien explorando este clásico cuento de hadas toda la semana.

The second week of Summer ACE was another success. Continuing to work hard during academics and do some awesome things during enrichment. The first good behavior party took place on Friday as well and we got to spend our good behavior tickets on all sorts of awesome goodies.

La segunda semana de Summer ACE fue otro éxito. Continuar trabajando duro durante los académicos y hacer algunas cosas increíbles durante el enriquecimiento. La primera fiesta de buen comportamiento también tuvo lugar el viernes y pudimos gastar nuestras entradas de buen comportamiento en todo tipo de golosinas increíbles.

Thursday we picked a pretty great day to visit our friends at the Cameron Park Zoo as the weather was cooperative and our students had a great time seeing all the amazing animals and exhibits, a picnic lunch and for some a nap on the bus ride back made for a great day of ACE. We hope you heard all the fun stories when they got home.

El jueves elegimos un día bastante bueno para visitar a nuestros amigos en el zoológico de Cameron Park, ya que el clima era cooperativo y nuestros estudiantes se lo pasaron muy bien viendo todos los increíbles animales y exhibiciones, un almuerzo de picnic y para un poco una siesta en el viaje en autobús de regreso para un gran día de ACE. Esperamos que hayas escuchado todas las historias divertidas cuando llegaron a casa.

ACE is usually where the wild things are anyways, but last Friday we decided to add a couple new ones to the mix in the form of the Zoo To You Program from Cameron Park Zoo. Kids learned about and got to touch a 3 banded armadillo and an Albino Honduran Milk Snake after we got to listen to a couple books that went along with them.

ACE suele ser donde están las cosas salvajes de todos modos, pero el viernes pasado decidimos agregar un par de nuevos a la mezcla en forma del Programa Zoo To You de Cameron Park Zoo. Los niños aprendieron y tocaron un armadillo de 3 bandas y una serpiente de leche húngara albina después de que escuchamos un par de libros que los acompañaban

Our first week of Summer ACE came and went in a flash, we kept busy with academics as well as some fun stems and skill building stations. Of course ACE isn’t ACE without some yummy treats for all the hard work students put in.

Nuestra primera semana de verano ACE llegó y se fue en un instante, nos mantuvimos ocupados con académicos, así como con algunos tallos divertidos y estaciones de desarrollo de habilidades. Por supuesto, ACE no es ACE sin algunas golosinas deliciosas para todo el trabajo duro que los estudiantes ponen.

Last night we had our Mad Scientist Stem Family Night where families were given the opportunity to experiment with their mad ACE scientists. We had a number of different stations that our families progressed through last night including finger printing, replicating scientific elements, showing how germs spread under a black light, slime making, and to end things off some brainfood for all their hard work. We hope everyone had a great time last night.
