# π’ ATTENTION STUDENTS & PARENTS: Northern Zone Dress Code Checklist ππ
To ensure a safe, focused, and positive school year, please review the **Northern Zone Dress Code** guidelines below before shopping or heading to campus!
π Backpacks & Book Bags
Required Style: Clear or mesh bags **ONLY**. Solid fabric backpacks are not permitted.
π§’ Hats & Head Coverings
Not Permitted: Hats, hoods, visors, bonnets, doo-rags, rollers, or scarves on campus.
Exceptions: Head coverings with religious significance, medical reasons, or for special events must be explicitly approved by an administrator.
π Shirts, Tops, Blouses & Hoodies
Layering Rule: Shirts must be worn under hoodies and jackets at all times.
Coverage Required: Undergarments must be completely covered. No baring midriffs, even when arms are raised.
Prohibited Styles: Halter tops, off-the-shoulder shirts, spaghetti strap tops, and dresses without adequate coverage.
π Pants, Shorts, Skorts, Skirts & Dresses
Length Standard: Hemlines and slits must be no higher than 4 inches above the kneecap when standing.
Fit & Sagging: No sagging allowed. Students must wear a belt if their pants have belt loops.
Prohibited Pants: No pants or jeans with holes, rips, tears, or writing across the rear.
Prohibited Casual Wear: No yoga pants, tights, leggings, jeggings, or pajama-style pants.
Prohibited Shorts: No biker shorts, running shorts, or Lululemon-style athletic shorts.
π Footwear
Required Style: All shoes must have a back or a strap securely across the back of the heel.
Not Permitted: Crocs, slides, flip-flops, slippers, or house shoes.
π« Other Important Guidelines
Piercings: No visible body piercings allowed, with the exception of standard earrings.
Safe Accessories: Jewelry or accessories that could potentially be used as a weapon are strictly prohibited.
Appropriate Messaging: No clothing with obscene or suggestive language.
Prohibited Themes: No apparel promoting or encouraging violence, discrimination, gang affiliation/inferences, alcohol, to***co, or drugs.
