The Collegiate State Conference Competition 2026 was held in Fargo. ND Feb. 9-10. VCSU students placed and qualified for nationals in multiple events! Way to bring home some DECA hardware and glass!

🏆Sarah Monilaws and Katie Jones took 1st place in team Event Planning.
🥉Sarah Monilaws placed 3rd in Hotel and Lodging.
🥉Katie Jones tied for 3rd place in travel and Tourism
🏆Chapter Community Service Award

VCSU students will represent North Dakota and VCSU at the International Career and Development Conference and Competition to be held in Louisville, Kentucky in April!

We came back from semester break early to be a presenter at Marketplace for Kids held on campus today! Sarah is doing s great job presenting on 'The History and Marketing of The Happy Meal." We are about halfway done and so many crwrige ideas thenkids have come up with for themselves and toys with the Happy Meal!

Congratulations 🎉 As we have some ICDC qualifiers! Sarah placed 2nd in Hotel & Lodging, Matt placed 2nd and Jalynn placed 1st in Restaurant & Food Services. Top three exam scores were awarded and Jalynn received 3rd and Matt 2nd and they were only separated by 1 point! Sarah was able to capture a VP role on the state officer team! What a great day! Way to represent VCSU! Next stop is ICDC in San Francisco in April!

State Competition Day 1!
We started with an opening ceremony that included chapter and individual awards, a guest speaker, and candidate speeches. Congrats to Matt for receiving outstanding service Award! Good job to Sarah for giving her candidate speech tonight and completing the interview process! Good Luck tomorrow on elections! Congrats to VCSU chapter for receiving the chapter community service award!
The rest of the afternoon and night was indicidual case study events! Sarah Matt, and JaLynn competed in their individual events! Tomorrow is team events, elections, and awards! Good Luck!

ELC Day 2025! Over 500 students and 33 advisors representing 28 DECA and FBLA chapters from 22 schools! They competed in 10 testing events, over 40 Role-play, job interview, and impromptu events! The all exciting and fun Quiz Bowl competition with 28 teams down to crown one champion! I need to send a shout out to the over 40 VCSU and community volunteers who judged be judges for the events. We had 6 people form ND CTE come from Bismarck and help run events. Thank-You to all who helped today! Today was a grwat example of how 'We All Row' Here at VCSU!

We had a fun time designing cereal boxes today at Marketplace for Kids even held on VCSU campus. DECA members and advisors worked with 5 groups with about 80 students today! We did the hsitory, marketing, and designing of the box of cereal with some pretty neat ideas created!
