Students from Midkota High School visited the VCSU Art Department last week to try their hand at wheel throwing, cynotype printing, and raku firing. We had a blast sharing our passion with them during their visit!

Congratulations to the winners of the VCSU Juried Student Art Exhibition! We are proud to recognize the outstanding creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication demonstrated by our student artists. This year’s exhibition showcased an incredible range of talent across multiple disciplines, highlighting the strength and diversity of artistic expression at VCSU.

Printmaking in action!
Our students are experimenting with monotype prints and linoblock impressions pressed into clay, creating bold textures and unique surface designs. A great example of creativity meeting material in the studio!

Every year, students are invited to submit work to the Student Juried Art Exhibit - all media is welcome. All students who have enrolled in a VSU Art class (on campus or online) in the 2025-26 academic year are welcome to enter the VCSU Annual Student Juried Art Exhibit. This year's exhibit will be juried by Jess Christy, Executive Director of the North Dakota Council on the Arts.

Limit 5 entries per student. Use the link below to register by the end of the day on Wednesday, April 15th.

Online form Submission: Due on Friday, April 15
Artwork Dropoff: Mon., April 20th - Thur., April 23rd from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Exhibit Dates: April 27th - May 16th
Reception: 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 1st, awards announced approx. 6:30 p.m.
