Valley Center SHOW S.H.O.W. (Students Helping Out Warriors) is a club at Valley Center, Kansas USD 262. We have S.H.O.W. Grades 6 through 12. USD262 SHOW We are S.H.O.W.

students in the Valley Center High School and Valley Center Middle School. Who we are and what we do

S.H.O.W. Stands for Students Helping Out Warriors. The program’s intent is to bring students together to show appreciation and support to our military personnel. isn't only for giving back to our veterans and current soldiers, it also teaches our youth about being patriotic, about what our flag st

ands for, and history of our great nation because of our veterans. A little bit about us

S.H.O.W. was founded by Officer Allen Adams in September 2014. He was the school resource officer (SRO) for the Valley Center Middle School and Valley Center Intermediate School in Valley Center Kansas. Officer Adams served 14 years in the US Coast Guard and the Kansas National Guard and has been on multiple deployments throughout the two services. The program was developed because Officer Adams knew the challenges and the conditions of the current day warrior and to recognize what our Veterans have done for us. is designed to not only give back to our nation’s veterans but to also teach and expose our youth to history they will never learn from a book. A lot of our youth are familiar with veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but not our World War I, World War II, Korean and Vietnam veterans; and this program helps teach them to honor those veterans and to continue supporting current warriors around the world. also teaches youth about being patriotic, what the flag is about, and the history of our country because of the sacrifices made by our veterans. The sacrifices our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents made serving our country so that we could have the freedoms that we have today which should not go unrecognized. Our Mission Statement

I've been getting quite a few questions about if we are going to have a breakfast this year.

Sadly, the answer is no. The SHOW program is on pause for now.

Basically, PD is short handed and there is also no liason at the schools.

Hopefully this program will come back and continue next year.

High school SHOW students if you were unable to attend the meeting today during Advisory, please stop by my classroom B-15 within the next couple of days to pick up the form to be part of the SHOW float in the VC Fall Festival Parade.
