Every other year VCIS PTO hosts a calendar type fundraiser to allow us to make a large-scale purchase for VCIS and students. This year instead of a calendar, students can fill a HORNET!

Goal: $15,000

To participate:

Simply put your name on your Hornet calendar along with the name of your homeroom teacher. Ask family, friends, neighbors for donations to raise money for VCIS! On your sheet, please include the name of person donating, denomination of donation and how they choose to pay. Venmo payments must include student name so that we can track prizes. Students who choose to participate can get special prizes at the end of the fundraiser!

The class that raises the most money will earn a class pizza party! The more money raised the more money PTO will have to put towards events and items benefitting the entire school!

Good luck and thank you for supporting VCIS!

We often get many questions about this fundraiser. Maybe this will help fill in any blanks along the way.

1. How do I fill my hornet?
This is simple you will ask your family, friends and neighbors (with parent permission) to donate to help you fill your hornet. When someone pledges an amount, you will write down their name, the amount they donated and how they paid on your tracking form. Then find a circle that corresponds with that amount and color it in or cross it out!

2. What prizes can I get?
That's a great question! All individual prizes are on the front of the envelope, set a goal for yourself and try to raise enough money to reach that prize! PTO is also finalizing some school wide goals to help us reach our goal of $15,000.

3. When will I get my prize?
All prizes will be given AFTER the fundraiser ends.

4. How can people donate?
People can donate by giving cash or checks (these should be kept inside your envelope) or by using Venmo. If they use Venmo please have them write down the name their Venmo will be coming from (or include student name.)

6. When are the envelopes due?
Monday October 19.

If other questions arise please reach out to PTO and we would be happy to answer question directly! [email protected]
