Every parent and teacher has seen it—a simple task turns into frustration, tears, or shutdown. What should take minutes stretches into hours, and everyone walks away discouraged.

Here’s what we want you to know:
It’s usually not a behavior problem. And it’s not a motivation problem.

As an art teacher and longtime advocate for children having a voice. In my work, I see it every day: when kids are given space to create, express, and explore, their true strengths rise to the surface. Creativity often reveals what traditional systems miss.

I believe every child is uniquely designed, with gifts and desires placed in them intentionally. When learning and expectations don’t align with how a child is wired, behavior becomes communication.

That’s why we’re coming together for a special pop-up Facebook event later today. Alongside three other women who work closely with children and families, we’ll be sharing practical insights into children’s behavior—and how to support them in ways that honor who they are and how they learn.

This isn’t about fixing kids. It’s about understanding them.
