🌸 Childcare Provider Appreciation Tea Party -- A Day to Remember! 🎀 Miesha Bell, President, Solano County Family Child Care Association & President, Curious Ones Family School, LLC

Today my heart is full! Our Childcare Provider Appreciation Tea Party, hosted in partnership between the Solano County Family Childcare Association and UDW Local 3930, and held at the Solano County Office of Education, was everything I hoped it would be -- elegant, joy-filled, and overflowing with gratitude for the incredible dedicated providers who hold up our childcare community every single day.

From the moment I arrived, I was dazzled by the tea party inspired fashion -- fancy hats, lace gloves, florals, pastels, and all the whimsical touches that made our afternoon feel truly magical. Providers did not come to play; they came to tea-partay! 👒✨

We enjoyed delicious teas, sweets, raffles, heartfelt conversations, and the simple comfort of being in a room full of people who get it -- the heart-centered work we do, the long hours we work, the dedication we embody, and the deepest human love behind what we do as care providers.

☕ A Moment of Celebration and Advocacy
Today was not only about appreciating each other -- it was also about advancing the work that makes our lives and businesses sustainable.

We celebrated the progress of our sponsored bill -- The True Cost of Care Act, which just passed the Assembly and now heads to the Senate. One major hurdle cleared! 💗

We also witnessed a pivotal moment as the Union endorsed Tom Steyer for Governor of California -- a call for bold leadership and a strong future for IHSS and childcare providers statewide.

As I looked around the room, I felt overwhelming pride in our community, our resilience, our joy, and the excellence we pour into the children and families we serve every single day.

So, here’s to US—the childcare and provider community, to many more years filled with beauty, purpose, connection, and collective strength. 💕✨
