Beginning this upcoming Saturday June 6th and running every weekend until June 21st, Sr Master Jones will be playing the role of the famous American Abolitionist Frederick Douglass in the stage reading play "I Was Born a Slave", at the Campbell Theater in Martinez, CA.

Just watched the fights from yesterday where Jeremy, Antoinette, and Joshua competed in a Muay Thai tournament in Concord. A little disadvantage for TKD fighters because no turning kicks or high kicks allowed. However, no excuses they fought well although they were not victorious this time. Back to the drawing board to prepare for the next one.

I want to thank everyone who helped make the UWTA Bay Area Regional a huge success. From the setup team at 6am, the staging team, the judges/timekeepers/scorekeepers, breakdown team, registration, snack bar, and medal team. You guys were all amazing.

Some worked in shifts and some stayed all day long. Special thanks to those who traveled far on this Mother's Day weekend to participate and give their time and talent. You know who you are.

Today, two former Soaring Eagles students from our Pinole location made their official decision to attend the prestigious Howard University this fall.

My godgranddaughter Zion received a full ride scholarship which includes PhD program in neuropsychology.

Black belt Timothy Hamp, an amazing musician, soccer athlete, and scholar intends to major in business. We are very proud and happy for both of them.
