This evening we celebrated our SCS Class of 2022 who will graduate high school this year with a special thanksgiving Mass and blessing. β¨π
While our graduates share plans and aspirations of attending various colleges in the Fall, Fr. Glenn reminds them to keep close to the Eucharist and the importance of prayer as they face adulthood.
May we continue to pray for all of our graduates and ask God to guide them in their next chapter. ππ½
Congratulations, graduates! We are so proud of you!

Last, but not least, our 8th-grade accompanist received recognition for student accompanists in their rendition of "City of Stars" only after learning/practicing the song for two weeks!

Today at St. Catherine of Siena, we celebrated our Student Council Induction Ceremony. β
Our outgoing Student Council members are preparing for graduation, and we are so proud of the way they served our school community with humility, spirit, compassion, and love. Their leadership helped shape a joyful and connected school year for so many students.
We are also excited to welcome a brave new team of leaders, supported by classmates eager to get involved and share new ideas for the future of our school community. It takes courage to step forward and lead, and we are blessed to have students willing to do just that.
Congratulations to all of our outgoing and incoming Student Council members!

At the conclusion of Teachers Appreciation Week, our Stars held a special Teacher Appreciation Mass where Fr. Glenn blessed our current faculty while honoring some of our retired SCS Teachers who helped pave our school to where we can celebrate our 40th Anniversary. βοΈπ
After Mass, we continued honoring our educators with a small reception and a quick stroll down SCS lane. As God would have it, we shared a beautiful full-circle moment where our current 8th-grade class shared memories with their Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Tunney, who retired at the end of their Kindergarten year! β¨π€
May God continue to bless all educators, past, present, and future as we look forward to 40+ more years of SCS Education!

Today (April 29) we celebrate the Feast of our Patroness, St. Catherine of Siena! A young Italian Catholic mystic whose writing, advocacy, and witness to the faith continues to inspire our Stars to be transformed by the Love of Christ in our daily lives.
This past weekend, we honored St. Catherine of Siena through our annual Parish/School Multicultural Sunday beginning with a Multilingual Mass. The celebration continued in our school quad where our students honored various cultures in our parish/school community through their performances all while dining on amazing food prepared by various ministries of our parish community.
It's truly a great day to be a St. Catherine of Siena Star! β¨ π₯

Thank you, , for stopping by SCS and teaching our Stars about fire safety and all that our brave firefighters do each day to keep us safe. We especially enjoyed meeting Tex, the firedog, who is trained for search and rescue.
Maybe one day, one of our students will trade in their red uniform to grow up and serve our community in the red fire engine! π€β€οΈπ
