Yesterday’s mud kitchen invitation was messy, creative, collaborative… and absolutely worth the cleanup. 🌿🪣🤎
The children spent the afternoon mixing, pouring, scooping, experimenting, creating “recipes,” and fully immersing themselves in sensory play and imagination.
What may look like “just mud” is actually:
✨ problem-solving
✨ sensory exploration
✨ creativity
✨ social interaction
✨ fine motor development
✨ joyful childhood memories
The best learning moments are often the messiest ones. 💚

Growing hearts & minds with love

Today’s garden provocation was a beautiful reminder that children don’t need fancy materials to create meaningful play. 🌿🐛✨
Using loose parts, recycled materials, flowers, rocks, tubes, yarn, and open-ended treasures, the children explored, created, built, imagined, sorted, problem-solved, and told stories through play.
Some created worm friends and tiny gardens, some experimented with balance and building, and others simply explored textures and materials at their own pace. Even our youngest learner joined in through sensory exploration. 💚
What started as a simple invitation turned into collaboration, creativity, curiosity, and joy.
This is the magic of play-based learning. 🌼

Today’s invitations to play 🌿✨
Our love bugs explored garden-inspired sensory and loose parts play using open-ended materials like flowers, rocks, yarn, tubes, wood pieces, and textured treasures.
The older children were invited to create, build, and imagine their own gardens and worm worlds, while our youngest explorer enjoyed a simple sensory basket full of soft, crunchy, colorful, and natural-inspired materials to discover through touch and movement. 💚
Play-based learning gives children the opportunity to explore at their own pace, follow their curiosity, and make meaning through hands-on experiences. 🌼🐛

Yesterday we celebrated the amazing moms who help our little love bugs bloom every day. 🌼💛
The children planted marigolds from seed, created fingerprint flower gardens, and made heartfelt cards filled with love, tiny hands, and sweet words just for their moms. These are the moments that make childcare so special. ✨

Tiny hands planted big dreams. 🌻💛
Our love bugs created their very own sunflower patch! From painting the pots to planting the seeds, this project is teaching patience, responsibility, and how beautiful it is to grow something with love. Today the sunflowers got their very first watering after repotting, and Auntie Freda stopped by to visit and cheer on our growing garden. We can’t wait to watch our sunflowers reach for the sky.

✨ Where are the veggies, you ask? Right in the muffins—carrots to be exact! 🥕🧁 The kids loved every bite without even knowing they were eating something good for them.
At Love’s Purpose Childcare, we believe healthy habits start early. Sometimes that means getting creative—like adding veggies into foods the children already enjoy. It’s not just about sneaking in nutrition, it’s about teaching them that healthy can also be yummy. 💛
🤔 Parents, share with us—what’s your best hidden-veggie recipe or trick? We’d love to hear your ideas!

🌟 Who knew washing toys could teach so much? 🌟
✨ Activities don’t have to be elaborate! Last week we set up a toy wash with just a bucket, soap, water, sponges, and toys. The kids LOVED it — from the youngest to the oldest. 🫧🪣
Through play, they weren’t just having fun — they were:
✔️ Building fine motor skills while scrubbing
✔️ Exploring sensory play with water and bubbles
✔️ Practicing teamwork and cooperation
Sometimes the simplest setups create the biggest learning moments. 💛
This week at Love’s Purpose Childcare, we’re learning all about the letter G! G is for garden, green, and giggling because we’re so excited to explore and grow! Our focus: • Letter: G • Color: Green • Shape: Circle • Emotion: ExcitedOur sensory activity this week took us into the garden, where little hands got messy planting seeds, touching soil, and discovering nature up close. Watching their curiosity bloom is always the best part!
