Dates:

Sat, October 24, 10-4 PM and Sun, October 25, 10-1 PM

In this workshop, Diana will guide you step-by-step through the process of creating a one of a kind, ornate candle holder from start to finish!

You will learn how to hand roll coils that are shaped, cut, and assembled to build the candelabra frame. From there, Diana will show you how to add stamped baubles and decorative details that give each piece its own character.

All levels are welcome, this is a great class to improve your handbuilding skills!

Sometimes it takes a few tries to get something the way you want it. Ann took a workshop with Josie Jurczenia back in the spring and learned the technique of adding "wings" to a pot to create a multidimensional vase, AND making clay flowers for the vase. The first vase didn't come out, nor the second one. But THIS one made her happy.

Pottery is all about problem solving, and NOT getting it right the first time! 🤣

A couple of hours away from screens, schoolwork, and being asked what they’re going to do with their lives.

Our teen pottery class is a place to make weird things, useful things, beautiful things—or something that is all three. Students will learn real handbuilding techniques while developing their own ideas and creative voice.

No experience needed. No cookie-cutter projects. Just clay, tools, and room to experiment.

 Wednesdays, 4–6 PM
 Ages 13–17
 7-week session starts September 16

🏺 WHEEL CLASSES START NEXT WEEK!

Been thinking about trying pottery? This is your sign to stop thinking about it and get your hands in some clay.

We still have room in a few of our upcoming wheel throwing classes. Beginners are absolutely welcome—no experience, artistic confidence, or special pottery talent required. We’ll teach you how to center, throw, trim, glaze, and recover when the clay has other plans-- which it always does!

Classes include plenty of open-studio time to practice between lessons.
