💛Grizzlies, it’s time to celebrate the power of kindness! Next week, Grandview College Preparatory Academy is hosting Start with Hello, Kindness Week (August 24th – August 28th).

Perform random acts of kindness at home or at school to earn a stamp on your Grizzly card during lunchtime (1 stamp per day on your Grizzly Platinum Card)! 🐻✨

Here is our daily lineup:
Monday, Aug 24 (Appreciation Monday): Hand someone an appreciation card during lunch! 📝
Tuesday, Aug 25 (Let’s TALK Tuesday): Say “hello” or talk to someone new. 👋
Wednesday, Aug 26 (TEAM up for Kindness): Wear your favorite team shirt and perform an act of kindness! 👕
Thursday, Aug 27 (COMPLIMENTARY Thursday): Give a sincere compliment to someone outside your friend group! 🌟
Friday, Aug 28 (Be an everyday HERO): Wear your favorite Superhero apparel and spread kindness! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

🎺 🎶 We are thrilled to continue to offer the MARIACHI Middle School After-School Program at Grandview College Preparatory Academy through the Champions After-School Program!

Students will learn violin, trumpet, guitar, vihuela, guitarrón, or voice, along with music reading, technique, and mariachi traditions. Plus, instruction is led by members of the two-time GRAMMY Award-winning Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea and Mariachi Espectacular!

Grandview Schedule 🗓️
Days: Mondays & Fridays.
Time: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM.
Start Date: Monday, August 24, 2026.

What Students Receive: 🎻
Instrument & accessories.
Music binder & sheet music.
Instructional materials.
Mariachi performance suit & performance opportunities.

⚠️ Note: Students MUST BE ENROLLED in the Champions After-School Program to participate in Mariachi. Experienced flute or accordion players with their own instruments may also join!

​Esta semana, compartieron sus investigaciones sobre "Mis Raíces" (Mis Raíces). Siguiendo el objetivo de su lección, investigaron diligentemente sus historias familiares utilizando diversas fuentes para responder preguntas sobre su herencia.

​Estamos increíblemente orgullosos de su arduo trabajo, sus impresionantes habilidades de presentación y su dedicación para celebrar sus raíces culturales.

Hands-on learning in full swing! 🛠️✨
​Our Makerspace / Sea Perch Elective students at Grandview College Preparatory Academy put their engineering skills to the test by designing and building custom Marble Runs! Using paper plates, cardboard tubes, tape, and hot glue, students learned key STEAM principles like gravity, momentum, and structural design—all while bringing their creative ideas to life. 🌀📐
