This Friday, Heroes of Color was awarded the 2024 Business of The Year Award in Santa Clarita. This was the result of the work we are doing in the community with the enrichment program. Thanks to my incredible staff for aligning with our vision to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and remaining steadfast in our commitment to promote and preserve culture through art and enrichment programs. Thanks to my incredible Santa Clarita staff of Fall 2024: .harader .cali_art .design and Rita Petviashvili for all that you do to elevate our company, mission and service to our youth.

With $10 worth of material, I created a prototype freeway billboard. The top panel is removable to allow artist to switch out designs. Final will be out of wood with some LEDs. Look out for the final at the Showcase this January 23rd!!

We’ve partnered with to offer an early morning enrichment program at five schools in the National School District !

Our new program, The Little Heroes of Color - Puppet Theater is a dynamic program where students learn to to appreciate cultures through a variety of culturally diverse hand puppets, craft unique stories, and perform mini puppet shows using their own voices and characters.

Through this experience, students will enhance their cultural awareness, storytelling, fine motor skills, and public speaking abilities.

Last month Heroes of Color was recognized for our “Animating for change” enrichment program in San Diego. We don’t do this work for awards, so we are incredibly honored to accept this recognition from a non-profit community ❤️

From a series of creative zoom workshops in 2021 to a team of 15 indispensable staff members (4 instructors missing from photo) in 2024. From Santa Clarita down to San Diego, these folks are the lifeline of the company and I’m so blessed to learn from them and see them make an impact in the lives of over 1300 students each year❤️

The Jr. ARTrepreneurs program is in the William s. hart school district, five high schools in the Fall and five high schools in Spring 2025.

Experience in a classroom is ideal, strong portfolio, understands the business of freelancing and leads by example, not theory. No college degree? No problem, your portfolio is all I need.

16 weeks total starting September 9th, $30 hourly, will meet twice a week, afterschool hours ranging from 2:30p - 5p. Interested? Shoot me your resume and portfolio. We are moving pretty fast. Curriculum will be provided as well as paid training.
