Thank you to the students and .alumni who came on the field trip to see our campus neighbors at the Packard Humanities Institute Stoa, home of the last week on our first outing of the year! An informative, engaging, multimedia, and very detailed tour immersed us in conversation and exploration of film history, technology, culture, preservation, restoration, innovation, investigation, and future. Grateful to our gracious PHI Stoa hosts and to and for their support as we make experiential learning, professional development, and community-building opportunities available to our exceptional students (and graduates!) CalArts students and alumni are encouraged to register for upcoming career workshops and events at compass.calarts.edu 🫟🎨📜🩰🎬🎼🎭

Thank you to the students and .alumni who came on the field trip to last week! So inspiring to experience permanent collections as well as special exhibits “Black Cowboys: An American Story” and “Future Imaginaries: Indigenous Art, Fashion, Technology” alongside you— we can’t wait to see how this experience comes through in upcoming animated films of students who were sketching in the museum, and in the artistic practices of filmmakers, storytellers, creative technologists, visual artists, performers, sound artists, and composers who joined us as well. Grateful to and for their support as we make experiential learning, professional development, and community-building opportunities available to our exceptional students (and graduates!)
